As Google announced, these teams have been working together to increase the startup speed of applications on the latest chipsets by up to 30 per cent and to make user interface animation and mobility smoother. "to achieve longer battery life, we strive to optimize the bottom layer of the operating system-using low-power hardware cores for better battery life," Google explained. This includes optimizations such as "running heart rate sensors continuously during the day, tracking your sleep throughout the night, and the ability to still have a battery the next day." The unified platform will also make it easier for developers to build better applications and dial up.

Google is also trying to provide shortcuts for important features so that "things" can be done on your wrist, such as going back to previous apps and better customizing home screen rotation with more app options.

Google Maps and Google Assistant are being redesigned and improved to better work on watches. Google pay will also be redesigned and will be supported by 26 new countries. YouTube Music will also be available on Wear OS later this year and will be equipped with features such as smart downloads. Google has also introduced Fitbit features to better track health and fitness.

New tools such as Tiles API and dial design editor developed by Samsung will make it easier for developers to build applications for the Wear OS platform, and new and refactoring applications such as Strava, Adidas Running and Bitmoji will also enter the platform.
