The Tivima D2-330disk array supports four array modes, RAID0, RAID1, SINGLE and JBOD. RAID0 is the fastest, but there is no backup. RAID1 is about speed and safety, but it's only half as easy. SINGLE mode two hard drives are used independently, while JBOD simply combines the hard drives into one large one.

Users can adjust different array working modes according to their own needs. After adjustment, we need to reset the hard disk through RESET, and initialize it before we can use the disk array normally.

Here we choose two 4TB SATA 3.5inch hard drives of the same specification. After all, a good horse with a good saddle can run fast.

Install the hard drive on the hard drive mounting box using the included screwdriver and screws.

To embed the hard disk into the disk array, pay attention to the direction here.

The installation process is still very simple, and its leveraged design not only saves effort but also ensures the firm and reliable installation of the hard disk, which is very important for the mobility of the disk array.

After installation, for easy identification, we can also label the hard drive.

Use the cable of Lightning 3 to connect the hard drive to the computer, then connect the power supply, and turn on the computer.

We first test the RAID0 mode, adjust the mode to RAID0, and press RESET for a long time to reset the hard disk. (do not reset the non-switching mode at will, each switching mode has to be initialized by the hard disk, and the data will be gone.)

At this point, the computer will prompt us that the hard drive is not initialized. We click on initialization to enter the above interface. Here we can see that under RAID0, the two hard drives make up a high-speed hard disk, and the full storage space is 8TB. We format the hard drive by erasing it.

Format because there is no name set, so the name of the hard disk is unnamed, and blackmagic disk speed test is used to measure the speed of reading and writing.

In high-speed mode, the write speed of Western Digital SATA hard disk is 327.5MB/s, and the read speed is 339.8MB/s. The support and processing speed of various high-definition video formats are still good. If you use SSD solid state drive, I believe the result will be better.

When we switch to SINGLE mode, we can see two separate hard drives, both 4TB. When we test the read and write performance of one of the hard drives, we can see that the read and write speeds are at 179.1MB/s and 174.9MB/s, respectively.

Individuals generally use high-speed RAID1 on a daily basis to ensure speed and make data more secure at the same time. The actual film editing processing is also very smooth, the experience is good.
