2 install RHEL 6.5

1) as shown in the following figure, select the Oracle virtual machine, right-click on the Oracle virtual machine, and select Power-- turn on the power (or use the Ctrl+B key combination).

2) as shown in the following figure, right-click on the Oracle virtual machine and select Open console.

3) as shown in the following figure, select the virtual machine CD/DVD device-- CD/DVD drive 1-connect to the ISO image on the local disk.

4) as shown in the following figure, select the ISO file (rhel-server-6.5-x86_64-dvd.iso) of RHEL 6.5, and click Open.

5) as shown in the following figure, select the virtual machine CD/DVD device, CD/DVD drive 1, and you can see that the ISO image of RHEL 6.5 has been loaded successfully.

6) use the Ctrl+Alt+Del (use Ctrl+Alt+Ins in the VMware virtual machine environment) and restart to enter the installation interface of RHEL 6.5. as shown in the following figure, select Install or upgrade an existing system and press enter.

7) after the loading process, enter the Disc Found interface shown in the figure below, where you can select OK to test the ISO image of RHEL 6.5. here, select Skip to skip the test and go straight to the installation process.

8) Click Next as shown in the following figure.

9) as shown in the following figure, select by default and click Next.

10) as shown in the following figure, select by default and click Next.

11) as shown in the following figure, select by default and click Next.

12) as shown in the following figure, select Yes,discard any data and click Next.

13) modify Hostname (oracle.kely.com) and select Configure Network as shown in the following figure.

14) as shown in the following figure, select System eth0-- Edit.

15) as shown in the following figure, select Connect automatically, select the IPv4 Settings tab, modify Method (Manual), select Add, modify Address (192.168.0.18), Netmask (24), Gateway (192.168.0.1), Search domains (kely.com), click Apply-- Next.

16) as shown in the following figure, modify the time zone (Asia/Shanghai), uncheck System clock uses UTC, and click Next.

17) change the root password (1qaz@WSX) as shown in the following figure, and click Next.

18) Select Use Anyway as shown in the following figure.

19) as shown in the following figure, select Create Custom Layout and click Next.

20) Select Create as shown in the following figure.

21) as shown in the following figure, select by default and click Create.

22) modify Mount Point (/ boot), File System Type (ext4), Size (200) as shown in the following figure, and click OK.

23) as shown in the following figure, you can see the newly created boot partition. Click Create to continue creating other partitions.

24) as shown in the following figure, select LVM Physical Volume and click Create.

25) as shown in the following figure, modify File System Type (physical volume (LVM)), select Fill to maximum allowable size, and click OK.

26) as shown in the following figure, you can see the newly created physical volume, and click Create to continue creating other partitions.

29) as shown in the following figure, modify File System Type (swap), Logical Volume Name (lv_swap), Size (6144), and click OK.

30) as shown in the following figure, you can see the newly created swap partition. Click Add to continue creating other partitions.

31) as shown in the following figure, modify Mount Point (/), File System Type (ext4), Logical Volume Name (lv_root), Size (14132), and click OK.

32) as shown in the following figure, you can see the newly created root partition, click OK.

33) at this point, you can see that the entire partitioning process is complete, click Next.

34) Click Format as shown in the following figure.

38) enter the installation progress of RHEL 6.5 as shown in the following figure.

42) as shown in the following figure, select No,I prefer to register at a later time and click Forward.

48) uncheck Enable kdump as shown in the following figure.

49) Click Yes as shown in the following figure.

50) Click OK as shown in the following figure.

51) as shown in the following figure, RHEL 6.5 initialization is complete.

52) as shown in the following figure, enter Username (root) and press enter.

53) as shown in the following figure, enter Password (1qaz@WSX) and press enter.

54) as shown in the following figure, select Do not show me this again and click Close.

55) enter the RHEL 6.5 desktop as shown in the following figure.
