MiRpath is an online website that integrates the miRNA target gene database. You only need to input the miRNA Id you are interested in to obtain the target gene corresponding to miRNA from the target gene database, and then carry out GO and KEGG enrichment analysis.

The following three miRNA target gene databases are integrated into this database.

TargetScan

MicroT-CDS

Support GO and KEGG enrichment analysis of the following species

Human

Mouse

D.melanogaster

G.Gallus

The database can be used in two ways

1. Forward retrieval

The forward retrieval function is used to analyze the function of the specified miRNA. The input box is as follows.

Select the corresponding species through Species, enter the interested miRNA ID in the Add miRNAs box, and then select the corresponding target gene database. The running result of kegg pathway is as follows

This result is actually the enrichment analysis of all the target genes of the input miRNA. Click details to view the individual enrichment analysis results of each miRNA target gene, as shown below.

Click see genes to view a specific list of genes, as shown below

Click pathway union and you can get the heat map shown below through show heatmap

This heat map reflects the enrichment analysis results of each miRNA target gene, each row represents a miRNA, each column represents a pathway, and the cell color is determined by the p value enriched under this pathway.

two。 Reverse retrieval

The reverse search function is used to find the miRNA that regulates genes under the specified GO or pathway, as shown below

We can take miRpath as a reference, use other databases or self-constructed high-quality miRNA target gene data for enrichment analysis, so as to study the related functions of miRNA.
