The network architecture of a company is: exit router-behavior management equipment-Huawei core-Ruijie wireless controller

There are two kinds of business: 1, office area computer wireless network office 2, work area code sweep gun sweep goods

Customer feedback during the use of the code sweep gun will appear serious packet loss phenomenon, resulting in the business can not be handled normally, the need to find the cause of the problem and solve it.

After receiving customer feedback, we first sort out the possible causes of wireless packet loss: 1, interference 2, excessive bandwidth pressure 3, abnormal wired network

After arriving at the customer site, after wirelessmon scanning, it is found that there is interference in the environment, but only a light amount of interference, will not affect the normal use of the business.

When using a laptop to walk around the work area, the ping packet delay is normal and does not lose packets; after using the office handheld PDA, it is found that serious packet loss will occur when passing through individual areas.

On-site observation of the AP point deployment, found that the AP deployment is too dense, there is a greater possibility of interference, so try to reduce the range of interference by reducing the power of AP, but the problem remains after the reduction.

So the second time uses the notebook to carry on the long ping test, the second time discovers that the notebook packet loss rule is consistent with the handheld PAD, when trying to log on to the associated AP, it is found that there is an obvious stutter phenomenon. After logging on to the wireless controller remotely, the connectivity with AP is tested through the Ping command, and a large number of packets are lost. Therefore, the connectivity of all AP and AC is tested, and the result must be that 3 existing AP have serious packet loss during ping testing. After comparing the drawings, it is determined that the location of the packet loss AP is basically consistent with the location of the terminal packet loss.

As the deployment points of the on-site AP are relatively dense, three abnormal AP are powered off directly after winning the customer's consent, and after testing the handheld PDA, there is still the problem of packet loss. After observation on the wireless controller, it is found that the handheld PDA exists the situation of roaming stickiness, so the terminal is forced to roam by adjusting the AP's RSSI. After testing, the signal is normal and the abnormal packet loss phenomenon disappears.

Principle: due to the packet loss of individual AP, the handheld PAD begins to lose packets after it is associated with this kind of AP; because the roaming of the terminal is monitored by the wireless controller through the RSSI between the AP and the terminal, and the packet loss of the AP leads to the user status data can not be uploaded to the wireless controller in time, which finally leads to the roaming stickiness of the terminal and aggravates the problem of packet loss.

Conclusion: in the process of this investigation, due to habitual thinking, it was thought that the problem of packet loss might be caused by interference at the beginning, and it took a lot of time to determine that the post-packet loss was caused by the packet loss of individual AP. In the subsequent process of dealing with the problem, we should avoid being misled by this inertia thinking.
