Windows sever 2008r2 configures Auxiliary DNS to realize standby of main DNS

Functional requirements:

When the primary DNS server goes down or the system crashes, the secondary DNS server can take over the primary DNS server and upgrade the secondary DNS server to the primary DNS server.

DNS zone names are uniformly 17w1.com

Primary DNS server secondary DNS server

System: window server 2008 R2 system: window server 2008 R2

Note: the main DNS server ignores the operation steps here.

1. The main DNS server looks up the locale forward.

2. The right-click property of the main DNS server-Zone transfer-allows zone transfer-- only the servers (S) listed in the "name server" option are determined.

3. Right-click the attribute of the main DNS server-Zone transfer-name server-if you find that the list does not have the IP address of the secondary DNS server, you need to add

-enter the computer name of the secondary DNS server-enter the IP address of the secondary DNS server-parse-determine.

1. Select the forward lookup zone right-create a new zone.

2. Choose the next step.

3. Select the auxiliary area-the next step

4. Enter the region name 17w1.com (which needs to be the same as the region name of the main DNS)-the next step.

5. Enter the IP address of the main DNS server-press enter to confirm.

6. Show that the parsing is successful-the next step.

7. Select completion

8. The secondary DNS server has been successfully replicated from the primary DNS server.

Note: the primary DNS server system crashes and the primary DNS server is no longer connected to the local area network before the secondary DSN server can take over the primary DNS server.
