In addition to being able to log in to Web Office through streaming installation packages and download and install them from an external network, is it possible to download Office365 offline installation packages and place them in an intranet shared folder, and manually install them when needed?

The easiest way to manually install Office365 is to log in to Web Office365 and click Install Office to download the streaming installation package. This installation package is only a few M in size and requires an external network to complete the installation of the entire program:

Customer IT needs to install Office 365 offline, which we can do using the offline installation method provided by Microsoft. The process is a little more complicated: download Office365 offline installation package manually, then place it on the company network share, and install it manually if necessary.

operation steps

1. Download and extract Office 365 Deployment Tool

Download link: www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx? id=49117

Unzip the deployment tools to a folder directory, for example, I unzip them to F:\Software\Office365:

2. Create Office365 Download Shared Folder

I directly set up Everyone read-write sharing in Office365 under F:\Software\Office365:

You can see that the url path for the new contribution is\PUSHITS-L00008\Office365:

3. Edit Office365 Download xml

Use Notepad to edit configuration-Office365-x86.xml, download Office365 32-bit Chinese version according to customer IT requirements, modify as follows and save:

4. Run the command to download Office365

Run the download command from the command line:

\PUSHITS-L000008\Office365\setup.exe /download \PUSHITS-L000008\Office365\configuration-Office365-x86.xml

\PUSHITS-L00008\Office365\setup.exe #url path to Setup.exe program

Automatically create an Office folder under\PUSHITS-L00008\Office365 and start downloading:

After downloading, the size is about 1.73G:

5. Edit Office365 installation xml

Copy download xml, rename configuration-Office365-x86-install.xml, use Notepad to open and edit it and save it. Note that the version and language are consistent with the downloaded version. As for the url path of the installation source file, you can modify it according to the actual situation. For example, if you download it from the client computer and store it in the server shared folder after downloading, you need to change it to the server shared folder url path here:

6. Install Office365 on client computers

Log in to the client computer using a local administrator and make sure you can access the installation source url:

Then run the installation command from the administrator command line:

\PUSHITS-L000008\Office365\setup.exe /configure \PUSHITS-L000008\Office365\configuration-Office365-x86-install.xml

Select Yes in the pop-up dialog box:

Open the Task Manager and click More details. You can see that the Office365 installation process has started. The speed is very fast:

Installation is complete when there is only one process:
