Go to the AD1 server and open Active Directory users and computers
Right-click the "CONTOSO.COM" domain name, "New"-"organizational Unit"
Run the New organizational Unit wizard, enter the name of the organizational unit: GROUP, and click OK
Click on the organizational unit GROUP, and right-click "organizational Unit"-"New"-"Group"
Run the wizard to create a new group, set the name of the group, and click OK
At this point, there will be a "RDCB Computer" group in GROUP.
Double-click the "RDCB Computer" group to open the properties of the "RDCB Computer" group
In the "RDCB Computer" group, click "members", add members, add RDCB1 and RDCB2 computers here, and then click OK.
3. Database configuration for RDCB high availability deployment
To configure the high availability of the RD connection agent, you must have a SQL Server server. For more information, please see "deploying SQL Server"
Open "Microsoft SQL Server Managerment Studio 17"
Open "Microsoft SQL Server Managerment Studio 17" and click "Connect"
After entering the database, right-click "Database"-"New Database"
Set the database name and click "OK"
Then expand "Security"-"login name", and right-click "login name"-"New login name"
Set the login name and click "search"
Select the RDCB Computer group created in AD, and click OK.
Login name is set, default database is set to RDCB, default language: English
Click "Server role" and tick dbcreator
Click "user Mapping", tick "RDCB", tick the corresponding membership (db_owner and public), and complete "OK".
4. Install the SQL Server client on the RDCB server
Here will RDCB1 and RDCB2 at the same time install SQL native client software, there is the latest installation of the latest, we install here
SQL native client 11
Open the SQL Server client installation package path and right-click install
Direct point "run"
Click "next" directly.
Choice: I agree to the terms of the license agreement and click "next"
Select the feature to install both client components and SQL Server Native Client SDK, and click "next"
Click "install" here.
SQL Server client installation is complete, click "complete"
5. Configure the ODBC data source on the RDCB server
Set up ODBC data sources on both RDCB1 and RDCB2
Click "start"-"Windows Management tools"-"ODBC data Source (64 bit)"
Open the ODBC data sources window
Click "add", select "SQL Server Native Client 11.0" and click "finish"
Create a new data source for SQL Server, set the name and computer name of the connection server for the database, and click "next"
Verify login to ID, select default, and click "next"
Tick "change default database to", select "RDCB", and click "next"
Click "finish" directly.
Just "OK" here.
Add it in this way.
At this point, a shared folder is created on the disk of the database server to store RDCB database files.
The RDCB server must have read and write permissions in this folder. At this time, we add the RDCB Computer group to the permission group of the RDCB folder, grant read and write permissions, and then "OK" to complete.
6. Configure DNS loop
Open the DNS server on the DC domain control server and expand to the domain name folder of the forward lookup zone
We know the IP:192.168.1.206 of RDCB1's IP:192.168.1.205,RDCB2, and we want to add these two RDCB to the loop.
Right-click the domain name click "New Host"
Set the host name and IP address. Set the IP of RDCB1 here, and click "add Host".
Click "add Host" when adding the IP of RDCB2, and then click "finish".
At this point, we can see two newly added HARDCB hosts in DNS and use RDCB1 and RDCB2's IP, so the DNS loop is complete.
Right-click the "Properties" of DC1 in DNS, click "Advanced" to see if the loop is enabled, if it is not enabled, tick before "enable Loop", and then "OK"
Configure high availability
Open Server Manager-remote Desktop Services-Overview, and you can see the following RDS overview diagram
Right-click RD connection Agent and click configure High availability
Run the configure High availability for RD connection Agent wizard
Select the default option here, and click "next"
Configure high availability
The DNS name of the RD connection proxy cluster: HARDCB.contoso.com (which we set up in DNS)
Connection string: DRIVER=SQL Server Native Client 11.0 th SQL Server client (for SQL Server clients only)
The folder used to store the database files: F:\ RDCB (this is the shared folder we set up in the SQL Server server)
Set completion point "next step"
Confirm the configuration just now and click "configure".
Configure the high availability of the RDCB connection agent is complete, click "close"
Add Server
When adding RD to the proxy server, check to see if there is any problem with the permissions of SQL Server. Open the "Microsoft SQL Server Managerment Studio" database management tool of the SQL Server server, enter the database, expand "Security"-"login name", find the user "contoso\ RDCB Computer", and right-click "Properties".
Open the RDCB Computer login property, click "user Mapping", and find that the RDCB database is not checked and has no permissions. This is because the string we set when configuring the RD connection agent resets it. At this time, we need to add permissions to add a new RD connection proxy server, otherwise an error will occur.
At this time, we check the "RDCB" database, check "db_owner" and "public" in the database role membership, and then "OK".
To add RD to the proxy server
Open Server Manager-remote Desktop Services-Overview, right-click RD connection Agent, and click add RD connection proxy Server
Run the wizard to add a RD connection proxy server, and click next
Move the computer name of the RD connection proxy server that needs to be added from the server pool to the selected computer, and click next
Confirm the configuration and click "add"

Here you can see that the add status is "successful" and click "close".
So in the deployment server on the right side of the overview, we can see that the newly added RDCB2 is the RD connection proxy server, and the RD connection proxy server has been added.
