Just about to get off work, catch a bus back home, suddenly a customer called to say that the business can not be used, suspected to be oracle database problems, must be solved immediately, helpless, I have to calm down to deal with the fault. As a DBA, the first thing is to deal with everything calmly, and the second is to be careful.

I connect to the client server remotely. The first step: I query whether the database is open. The query finds that the database is running normally. The second step queries whether the monitoring service is normal. It finds that there is a problem with monitoring. It always shows a pause state. I checked the monitor logs, database logs, and there was no obvious display. After waiting for about five minutes, it showed:

See this, I look at the monitoring file, no changes, look at the monitoring log, did not find any problems, I think is not monitoring log file is too big. Later I deleted the log file, restarted the monitor, and found that the problem was solved. Customers can get off work in time, and I'm in a hurry to catch up. This is the job of a firefighter.
