After deploying the Horizon View virtual desktop environment, downloading Horizon Client from the login interface of Connection Server by default will automatically jump to the official website of VMware. Because some scene terminals cannot connect to the Internet, and the download of VMware website is slow and tedious to find, we can set to download directly from Connection Server.

Log in to Connection Server as an administrator and open the "C:\ Program Files\ VMware\ VMware View\ Server\ broker\ webapps" folder, where you create the downloads folder

Copy the client to this folder (this example demonstrates the Windows, MacOS version client)

Open the "C:\ ProgramData\ VMware\ VDM\ portal\" folder and edit the "portal-links-html-access.properties" file in it. Change the Windows and MacOS client pointing address to the local downlaods folder, and enter the name of the copied HorizonCient program file.

When the changes are complete, restart the VMware Horizon View Web components service

After reboot, open the Connection Server login page to test

If you are using a UAG scene, you also need to make the following settings in UAG

In the Horizon integrated configuration interface, navigate to the proxy mode, change the string in it, and add the character "| / downloads (. *)"

After the configuration is completed, open the login page of UAG for testing
