IDC Commentary Network (idcps.com) reported on August 27: Recently, according to CNCERT sampling monitoring results and data released by the National Information Security Vulnerability Sharing Platform (CNVD), during the period from August 12 to August 18, China's Internet network security index was generally evaluated as medium.

Among them, the number of hosts infected with network viruses in China is about 737,000, up 0.5% from last week; the number of tampered government websites in China is 370, down 14.5% from last week; the number of government websites implanted with backdoors in China is 127, down 17.5% from last week; the number of counterfeit pages for domestic websites is 599, up 6.4% from last week; There were 73 new information security vulnerabilities, including 25 new high-risk vulnerabilities, down 62.7% from last week.

Below, IDC Review Network pays attention to the Internet network security situation in China from August 12 to August 18:

I. Network virus activity

The number of hosts infected with network viruses in China is about 737,000, including about 261,000 hosts infected with *** or controlled by botnets and about 476,000 hosts infected with conficker worms in China.

II. Website security

According to CNCERT monitoring data, during the statistical period, the number of tampered websites in China was 5528, down 4.6% from last week. The number of websites implanted with backdoors in China was 3464, down 34.1% from last week; the number of counterfeit pages for domestic websites was 599, up 6.4% from last week.

The number of tampered government websites (GOV) in China was 370 (accounting for about 6.7% of China), a decrease of 14.5% compared with last week; the number of government websites (GOV) implanted with backdoors in China was 127 (accounting for about 3.7% of China), a decrease of 17.5% compared with last week; the counterfeit pages for domestic websites involved 437 domain names and 210 IP addresses, with an average of about 3 counterfeit pages per IP address.

III. Important vulnerabilities

The National Information Security Vulnerability Sharing Platform (CNVD) newly included 73 network security vulnerabilities, and the overall evaluation level of information security vulnerability threat was low.

Summary: During the period from August 12 to August 18, the overall evaluation of China's Internet network security index was medium. No serious network security incidents were found. However, users should pay special attention to the need to strengthen the repair and reinforcement of system vulnerabilities in time and install security protection software. During the Internet, do not easily open pictures, music, videos and other files from unknown sources on the network, do not download and install some software of unknown origin, especially some so-called plug-in programs, in case of network virus infection.
