The documentation Foundation today announced the second maintenance update of the open source cross-platform office suite LibreOffice 6.2. However, if you want a more stable and widely tested LibreOffice office suite, LibreOffice version 6.1 is still recommended. At this stage, version 6.2.2 is still suitable for users who are eager for new features and innovation.

­Italo Vignoli said: "LibreOffice 6.2.2 represents the cutting edge trend of open source office suites, so enterprise-level deployments are not optimized and are more inclined to inject more innovative features. If users want a more mature and stable version, they can use LibreOffice 6.1.5, which includes background performance fixes over the past few months."

­LibreOffice 6.2.2 is only three weeks before the release of version 6.2.1, and a total of 55 BUG in many core components have been fixed. The LibreOffice 6.2.3 update is expected to be available in mid-April 2019. The LibreOffice 6.2 branch will also release four maintenance version updates, which are scheduled to be discontinued on November 30th, 2019. Currently, the LibreOffice 6.2.2 update for GNU/Linux, macOS and Windows is available for download. If you are using LibreOffice 6.2 now, it is recommended to upgrade to version 6.2.2.
