Editor to share with you Win10 how to rebuild the font cache, I believe that most people do not know much about it, so share this article for your reference, I hope you can learn a lot after reading this article, let's go to know it!

Win10 Reconstruction Font caching method

The purpose of font caching:

We should understand that the Windows system sets up a cache for fonts in order to display fonts faster every time the system program is started and the application is loaded. If the font cache file is corrupted, it will be reflected in the situation where Windows displays invalid characters. Therefore, fixing font display problems should start with the font cache.

The steps are as follows:

1. First, in the taskbar search box, type services.msc, and click "Service Desktop" in the automatic search results to open the Windows "Services" manager window (figure 1).

Locate the Windows Font Cache Service service in the list of services and double-click to open its properties dialog box. Under the Service status column, click stop to stop the service, and select disable under the Startup Type list (figure 2).

Similarly, navigate to the Windows Presentation Foundation Font Cache 3.0.0.0 service, double-click the initiator service properties, set its service status to stop, and then set the startup type to disabled (figure 3).

4. After setting up the above services, open File Explorer, display hidden files and folders through the folder options setting, and then manually navigate to the following location:

C:\ Windows\ ServiceProfiles\ LocalService\ AppData\ Local

If there is a system access request, release and enter. After entering the folder, delete all .dat files that start with FontCache (figure 4).

6. Next, open the FontCache font cache folder you see and delete everything in it. If you cannot delete some files, restart your computer and try again. Since we disabled these two related services above, they will no longer start, so we can successfully delete all font cache-related files.

After removing all font caches, we need to restart the two services that were previously turned off and set them to start! This way the font cache will be re-established.
