Microsoft is trying to reduce the size of monthly Windows updates, and Microsoft disclosed these details in Tech Community's blog post. However, Microsoft does not disclose the name of the monthly update, but it may start with the RS5 version.

­Microsoft will not release new features that are updated monthly at this time. Instead, they release security patches and bug fixes, but may change in the future. Microsoft also releases cumulative updates almost every month, including all previous updates. This causes the update size to increase over time. This is a problem for individuals and organizations with bandwidth limitations. Microsoft explained in detail the concept of incremental updates which significantly increased the size of updates. That's why Microsoft will end incremental updates for all versions of Windows 10 starting February 12, 2019.

­for low-level supported versions of Windows 10, Microsoft will continue to provide quick updates in addition to monthly full updates (also known as the latest cumulative updates or LCU). Starting with the next major version of Windows 10 and Windows Server, there is only one type of quality update, which is smaller, redistributable, and easier to manage. This new single update approach provides the advantages of more than three existing update types (complete, incremental, and fast):

­organizations that get full updates from Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) or Microsoft Update Catalog will seamlessly save network bandwidth with smaller updates. Organizations that have used incremental updates to manage the size of quality updates will no longer need to monitor the update status and history of their devices to determine which devices are eligible for incremental updates.

­because this new quality update package will be redistributable, organizations that take advantage of fast updates through WSUS,System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or third-party management solutions that support fast updates will significantly save network bandwidth and cache size points or update servers on their distribution. In addition, devices in the next major version of Windows 10 will be 40% more efficient when updated, because the best differences needed to download quick updates will not be calculated behind the scenes.

­Microsoft has been trying to downsize since the launch of Windows 10. Microsoft plans to further help users save bandwidth, especially in developing countries.
