11. The script will detect the environment, stop the virtual machine, copy the VHD file, create a disk, and so on. It will pause and wait for user action until a similar screen appears as follows:

The following steps are very important and have a bearing on the success of your subsequent creation:

twelve。 Enter the D:\ migvm directory and open the virtual configuration file, which is the exported configuration file of your source virtual machine. The general naming method is ExportedVMConfig-CloudServiceName-VMName.xml. For example, the configuration file of my test virtual machine is ExportedVMConfig-centos71testcsnew-centos71test.xml.

13. First of all, find all the tag and lines in the file, and add the cp suffix at the end of the file. If you have multiple data disks, there will be multiple lines of records, no matter OS disk or data disk, you have to modify them. This is because in order to avoid disk duplicate errors, I have added the cp suffix to the disks created by default. Examples of modifications such as:

Original document record:

Modified to:

14. Because the target virtual machine we are creating is a virtual machine of the DS/DSv2 series, according to the above example, look for all the lines in the xml file where tag is, and change its value from Standard to advanced storage Premium_LRS:

15. Finally, look for tag. The value in this value is the size of the DS or DSv2 series virtual machines you want to create, which is generally based on your original virtual machine. For example, if you are originally A3, you can consider DS_3 when you turn to DS. The standard method is Standard_DS3:

If you don't know the standard writing of the corresponding machine, you can use the command Get-AzureRoleSize in Powershell to get it:

16. After the modification is completed, save the file and exit, enter back to the execution interface, and continue to execute until the VM is created:

17. The original VM is A3, so we need to check whether the newly created VM belongs to the DS series, and whether the data disk and system disk are advanced storage. Enter the new portal, https://portal.azure.cn, select the destination cloud service you just migrated, and you can see:

The new virtual machine has been created and run successfully, and the virtual machine type is DS3

The endpoint has been automatically imported and created:

Finally, let's check the imported system disk and data disk. Click on the disk. In this example, you can see that a data disk and a system disk have been converted from the previous standard type to advanced storage (SSD):

As you can see, this script can automatically help you convert and migrate virtual machines, and import configurations automatically. Finally, for advanced storage, its IO performance is related to size. Different SSD disk sizes and different IOPS sizes can be adjusted according to your own needs:
