If you are using an old iPhone or old iPad, now may be the best time to update your device, as Apple has released new updates to selected Apple devices so that they can display the date, time, and location correctly. If you're not sure, we're talking about iPhone 4S and the first iPhone with a special update to iPad.

Updates to fix GPS errors are provided in the form of iOS 9.3.6 for all people using iPhone 4s, iPad mini (first generation) Wi-Fi cells, iPad 2 Wi-Fi cells, or iPad (third generation) Wi-Fi cells. If you are using iPhone 5 or iPad (fourth generation) Wi-Fi cells, the update will be iOS 10. 3. Version 4 is available to you. However, if you are using the iPod Touch, the iPad model for Wi-Fi only, or the iPad and iPhone models not mentioned here, don't worry.

Now, some of you may decide to skip this update altogether, but there's a good reason you shouldn't. The tech giant in Cupertino, Calif., is trying to solve a problem called the week flip problem. This is because the global positioning system, which records the passage of time, uses a 10-bit balancer to do this. So when these systems reach 1024 weeks, they will be reset because some GPS are abandoned on the road-literally or figuratively. The first count began on January 6, 1980 and was reset on August 21, 1999. This means that the next reset will take place on April 6, 2019.

Some GPS manufacturers like Garmin and TomTom have released updates to their systems, and now Apple is doing the same. IPhone manufacturers have released newer iPhone and iPad models and are now updating old equipment as well.

However, if the equipment is not updated, it is still impossible to solve what will happen. Well, Apple said-"if you don't update to the latest version of iOS available on your device by November 3, 2019, some models may not be able to maintain the exact GPS location. Features that depend on the correct date and time, such as synchronizing with iCloud and receiving email, may not be effective." Therefore, if you want to continue to use the device, you may need to update the above iPhone and iPad models.
