Distributed Network switch of VMWARE
The difference between a standard virtual switch and a distributed virtual switch: standard virtual switch:
Based on a single ESXI host, does not involve other ESXI hosts, or the entire data center cluster host, and has a single function, without NetFlow, monitoring, QOS and other functions.
Distributed virtual switches:
All configurations are based on the entire data center cluster, all configurations are mapped to all ESXI hosts, with a variety of network functions, and effectively reduce network configuration work and improve migration stability between virtual machines.
Based on the analysis of the above conditions, we use fractional virtual machines for the distribution of all production networks and create distributed virtual machine switches.
2. Add a management host (ESXI) to the distributed switch
3. Create a new port group (divide the VLAN network to each ESXI host)
4. Verify whether the network of each ESXI host is updated synchronously.
