1. First check if there is a piece of equipment under / dev.

Sda is the physical disk 1, which is the partition of physical disk 1, and the partition 2 of physical disk 1.

Sdb is a new physical disk, and this is the same disk we want to configure.

two。 Configure disk

Basic commands commonly used in fdisk

P, print partition table.

N. Create a new partition.

D. Delete a partition.

Q. Exit is not saved.

W. Write the partition to the partition table, save and exit.

W Save exit

3. Format partitions, view partitions

You will find an extra sdb1 partition in ls / dev/sd*.

Use mkfs. Make up

These are all formattable partitions.

I formatted it directly with the default parameters here. I must make sure it is a new partition.

4. Mounting

Mount the / dev/sdb1 partition to the / kmv directory. The new partition in linux cannot be used and must be mounted, which is the same principle as the drive letter of win.

The above mount command will fail if it is temporarily restarted, and the permanent mount will be written to the / etc/fstab file.

Permanently mount, pay attention to write strictly according to the format, if you make a mistake, linux will report an error and will not be able to boot.

Check df-h.

After mounting, you can now write the file in the / kvm directory, and the file will be saved to the new disk.

5. Mount, ntfs format disk, unmount

Yum install ntfs-3g.x86_64-y # install nrfs support software

Yum install epel-rpm-macros.noarch # if the above software shows no such software package in the epel source, install the epel source first

Mount.ntfs-3g / dev/sdc1 / cdrom/ # Mount ntfs disk to cdrom

Umount / dev/sdc1 # Unmount
