Postfix,dovecot mail system has the function of sending and receiving mail.

This lab opens one linux (rh7-2) and two win7, which are used as clients to send and receive e-mails.

One client is zhangsan, which is used to send mail

One client is lisi, which is used to receive mail

Postfix (send mail)

First mount the CD (install DNS before using postfix):

Edit the main profile:

Set to listen on all addresses and allow all network segments to access:

Edit the zone profile:

Perform forward resolution:

Edit the zone data profile:

NS domain name

A linux server address

Insert message exchange record:

Define an DNS address:

Start the DNS service:

Verify address resolution:

Edit the configuration file for postfix:

Inet interfaces: set the listening address to local machine

Myhostname: setting hostnam

Mydomain: setting domain name

Myorigin: sets the sender address email domain name

Mydestination: sets the recipient address email domain name

Home_mail: where the mail is stored

Enable postfix email service:

The port of Postfix is port 25:

Dovecot (receive mail)

Install dovecot:

Edit the dovecot configuration file:

Open the agreement

Specify the network segment where the server is located:

Edit the configuration file:

Go to # to open the location and format of the mailbox:

Start the dovecot service:

The port of the dovecot service is port 110:

Add two users:

First create a mailusers group and add two users to the group:

Port 25 of the remote login mailbox (send mail):

Port 110 of the remote login mailbox (receive mail):

Turn off the firewall:

Testing in win7

A win7 is used to log in to zhangsan in the same IP address range as the win7 of lisi:

One is used to login to lisi:

Install foxmail:

Zhangsan sends an email:

Lisi receives mail:

The following figure shows that lisi received an email from zhangsan:
