Environment: virtual machine vmware8.04 Centos 6.3

One intentionally forgot the password.

Click the power button and click Restart Guest in the drop-down list

Three, press any key in a few seconds

Four, press the e key when the following situation occurs

5 when the following situation occurs, press the down arrow to select the line of kernel, and press the e key

Six, press the space, then enter 1 or single, press enter to confirm

Or

Seven enter single-user mode

The next step is to use the passwd command to change the password of root, and then restart the virtual machine by reboot

Log in with the password you just set
