Microsoft recently updated the iOS version of its Office app (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) to add support for 3D Touch, but only for iPhone 6S and 6S Plus users.

The 3D Touch feature on the latest iOS version of the Office app is limited to quick access on the iOS main interface, making it easy for users to create new files or open existing files. The newly added extended comments support the addition of drawing tags so that iPad users can use their fingers or digital pens (including Apple digital pens) to draw any form of notes.

Users can use the tools on the new drawing options, fingers or Apple stylus to mark and highlight content, which is limited to the tablet iPad. In addition, users can create and open files using the 3D touch function on the home screen. Microsoft has also added new features to PowerPoint, a quick switch function that allows users to move multiple content quickly.

In addition, the update also includes cloud fonts and deep integration with SpotLight, which allows users to download from the cloud on demand while using Office software, and when performing a Spotlight search, the search results include recently opened Office documents.

Currently, Word,Excel and PowerPoint in Microsoft's Office suite are available for free download and can run on iOS8 or more advanced devices.
