Today, Dell released XPS 15 9520 and XPS 17 9720. The new change in its larger advanced laptop is that it is equipped with Intel's 12th-generation processors, any of which is equipped with the Core i9-12900HK. In addition, the parts remain the same, although the wattage of the graph seems to have shrunk somewhat, and the RTX 3050 Ti in XPS 15 provides 40W instead of 45W RTX 3060 offers 60W 17 instead of 70W.

Another key change is that they are all equipped with 4800MHz DDR5 memory, up to 64GB. Naturally, this is what Gen 12 processors support, so it is new to this generation; however, many PC with Gen 12 chips still use DDR4. That's because DDR5 is still quite expensive due to a shortage of components.

In addition to the power supply, both machines use portable packages and have the smallest footprint under their respective screen sizes. The non-touch model of the XPS 15 9520 with 56 WHr batteries starts at 3.99lbs, but you can also choose the larger 86 WHr battery, which weighs 4.22lbs for laptops. If you choose 4K + or 4K OLED, you will get larger batteries, which weigh 4.42lb and 4.31lb, respectively. For the Dell XPS 17 9720, the non-touch weight is 4.87lb and the touch weight is 5.34lb, both of which are equipped with 97WHr batteries.

As mentioned earlier, Dell XPS 15 does have an OLED option, while XPS 17 still does not. This is because the 4K OLED 17-inch display does not exist. This is not the only product that offers OLED options for 15-inch variants instead of 17-inch variants. Of course, Dell makes some of the best displays with its XPS device, so you really won't miss too much.

Dell also attaches great importance to the media consumer experience. It's not just about excellent performance, display, and keyboard. The company also focuses on Waves MaxxAudio's voice. It adds up to Dell Cinema, and it's all about streaming your favorite movies and TV shows when you're not working.

Dell XPS 15 9520 and XPS 17 9720 are available today, starting at US $1449 (C $1799) and US $1849 (C $2299), respectively. Dell pointed out that the XPS 17 configuration with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 will not be shipped until April.
