1. Open the Exchange command manager and create a new policy rule named LimitMessagesSent. For example, users can send a maximum of 300 letters per day and 10 letters per minute. You can use the following command:

New-ThrottlingPolicy-Name LimitMessagesSent-RecipientRateLimit 300-MessageRateLimit 10

After execution, you can see the name of the rule and the values of the two parameters recipientratelimit and messageratelimit

2. Apply the newly created policy rule LimitMessagesSent to users who need to limit the number of messages sent.

Set-Mailbox-Identity "jerry"-ThrottlingPolicy LimitMessagesSent

Extend:

Modify LimitMessagesSent policy rules by sending 500 and 20 messages per day / minute

Set-ThrottlingPolicy-Identity LimitMessagesSent-RecipientRateLimit 500-MessageRateLimit 20

View parameter values in LimitMessagesSent policy rules

Get-ThrottlingPolicy "LimitMessagesSent"

Delete policy rule LimitMessagesSent

Remove-ThrottlingPolicy-Identity LimitMessagesSent
