It is arranged according to the three project streams of research, training and education, which explore and discuss the relevant areas of Eclipse, such as programming language, things and development environment; training projects are small, unofficially structured projects that add new talents to the foundation of Eclipse software; and educational projects focus on the development of educational materials, educational assistance and courseware.

Eclipse Platform is an open and extensible IDE. Eclipse Platform provides the foundation for building blocks and building and running integrated software development. Eclipse SDK (Software developer Kit) is a component merger produced by three Eclipse projects (Platform, JDT, PDE), which can be downloaded at once.
