Port mapping maps the LAN IP address of a host to a WAN IP address. When a user accesses a port that provides a mapped port host, the server transfers the request to the host within the local local area network that provides this specific service. Using the port mapping function, multiple ports of an external network IP address machine can be mapped to different ports on different machines in the intranet. Port mapping can be divided into dynamic and static. Let's experiment with the topology diagram.

Experimental goal: convert port 80 of server port 192.168.100.111 to port 8080 of 12.0.0.5 and enable it on the port. Port 8080, which allows the external network to access 12.0.0.5, will be mapped to port 80 of 192.168.100.111, directly accessing 192.168.100.111.

1: check the details of the linux network card binding the network card vmnet1

Open a browser on windows and enter http://12.0.0.5:8080/ to access the lamp built in linux. You can see the details of address translation in router R3.
