What does this mean?

A: this is an installation problem specific to Linux. It means that you are not using a normal command line FTP client, but a KerberosFTP client. You may have installed the EPM package for Kerberos, even though you are not using Kerberos. This information is harmless because the Kerberos client degenerates to a normal FTP after the error message. If you want ftp not to display this information at work, you have to delete Kerberos on the client host.

two。 Wrong group ownership

Q: I have a user named "john" whose group is "johngroup". When John uploads a file, the file belongs to John, but it belongs to another group called "wheel" (of which John is not a member). What's going on here?

A: this is the standard behavior of BSD (confirmed on OpenBSD, ISOS, DragonflyBSD, and FreeBSD): when a new file is created, the group it belongs to inherits from the parent folder. On other systems (such as GNU/Linux), files belong to the user's primary group unless the setgid bit of this directory is set.

If you want the new files uploaded to John to belong to the group "johngroup", let the folder (and possibly subfolders) belong to "johngroup":
