To install the application from the DEB file, double-click it. It should open the Software Center and give you the choice to install it.

Another problem is about shutting down the application. If you click the "X" button to close Evernote, the program will enter the background instead of exiting.

There is an application indicator that seems to launch a minimized Evernote, just like Skype on Linux. Unfortunately, this is not the case. It opens the note and allows you to enter your notes quickly.

This provides you with another note-taking app on Linux, but it also poses a problem. There is no option to exit Evernote. It is only used to open the Quick Notebook app.

So, how to exit the Evernote application? To do this, open the Evernote application again. If it runs in the background, search for it in the menu and start it, just as you reopen it.

When the Evernote application is running in the foreground, click "File-> exit" to exit Evernote.

Developers should look for improvements in future releases.

I can't say how the beta program will be updated in the future. It didn't add any warehouses. I just want the program itself to notify the user that there is a new version so that the user can download the new DEB file.

I don't subscribe to Evernote Premium, but I can still access saved web articles and notes without a network connection. It's weird, right?

All in all, I'm glad to see that Evernote has finally managed to bring this app to Linux. Now, you don't have to try third-party applications to use Evernote on Linux, at least on Ubuntu and Debian-based distributions. Of course, you can use Evernote alternatives, such as Joplin, which are open source.
