Although Google Docs is a good free alternative to Microsoft Word, some of its features are not user-friendly. Google is aware of some of these problems and is launching updates to address them. For example, the company recently added a new way to quickly insert images, names, links, and so on in Google Docs. Now, it adds another feature to make custom tables easier.

Google has added some new ways to customize tables in Google Docs (through 9to5Google), which will please users who work with large amounts of data. If you use tables frequently on Google Docs, you can now perform the following tasks to make it easier to use tables on the platform:

Google Docs Table customization

When you add a table to extend across multiple pages, the title fixed at the top of the table indicates which column represents content that can be proved to be convenient. With this new update, you can now do this at the beginning of each new page.

Document table customization

If you have ever encountered the problem of extending the elements of a row to the next page, you can use this update to prevent this from happening. The document will provide more control over the formatting of inline content.
