Solution:

The reason for this on my machine is that there is no curses library with python.

Resolution process:

13.1 (x64) just came out, the interface is so good (KDE environment), and it is more convenient to organize folders and icons on the desktop, but there is something wrong with installing ibus.

Phenomenon: although the relevant package is installed, five strokes can not be found when adding the input method. I always feel that ibus is quite stable, and I don't know if I can find a solution. I went to the googlecode of ibus and found that the latest update and maintenance time is 2012, and it has not been updated for a year. It should be understandable that there is a bit of incompatibility.

There is a related topic in linuxsir.org: http://www.linuxsir.org/bbs/thread345609.html, try to solve it with the method given by the developers in it, but it didn't work, although I noticed that the time of the post is 2009. Check again, http://wiki.ubuntu.org.cn/IBus found some ibus-related information in ubuntu.org.cn, and then looked at the relevant directory of ibus and ibus after ibus-table-wubi installation on another ubuntu machine, and then compared with the relevant directory of 13.1 ibus in the problem, looked at it, saw a line in / usr/share/ibus/component/table.xml and wanted to try whether this command could be run, tried it, but could not run it. Prompt import curses library can not be found, search the python curses on the Internet, there is indeed this library, and then check whether the library is installed, not installed, it should be installed.

Stop the original ibus, install curses, and update ibus,ibus-table, etc. Follow the prompts in the startup ibus, configure .bashrc (I set the .profile), log out and log in, add the input method, and you'll find five strokes.

On the way, I also set the INPUT_METHOD in / etc/sysconfig/language to make it equal to "ibus".

Through the above steps, all five strokes can be used in programs other than firefox, but not firefox. I don't know why. After unloading fcitx, you can use ibus's five strokes in firefox. (extra work, may be useless, you can try not to install, by uninstalling fcitx, additional gnome-theme,ibus-gtk,ibus-gtk3 installed)
