Install the Oracle 11gR2 client

Describes how to install the Oracle 11gR2 database client.

Export DISPLAY=192.168.1.1:0.0192.168.1.1 is the IP address of the host where Xmanager resides. Execute the following command to create the user group oinstall. # groupadd oinstall executes the following command to create a user oracle. # useradd-d / home/oracle-g oinstall-m-s / bin/bash oracle execute the following command to change the password of the oracle user. # passwd oracle enter the new password when prompted. Log in as the oracle user to the host where the database needs to be installed. Execute the following command to set the environment variable. Assume that the environment variable "ORACLE_BASE" is "/ opt/oracle" and the value of "ORACLE_HOME" is "/ opt/oracle/product/11gR2/db". Please fill in according to the planning value during the actual installation. After the cd / home/oracleunzip p13390677_112040_Linux-x86-64_4of7.zip is decompressed, execute the following command to enter the installation directory. Cd client executes the following command to begin installing the database client. The oracle client installation interface appears after runInstaller executes the command. Select the "Administrator" type as shown in figure 1. Click "Next" to continue the installation, and when the interface prompts you to execute the configuration script "orainstRoot.sh", please follow the interface prompts to execute the script in the background with the root user. When the execution is complete, click OK to continue with the installation. After confirming that the information is accurate in the summary interface, click Install to perform the installation. When the installation is complete, click "Close" to close the client interface.
