The OPPO Find X2GOPO released some time ago focuses on the screen of Find X2.

One of the features of Find X2 screen is that it supports ultra-high refresh rate of 120Hz.

The author also has a Find X2. In daily use, I can easily feel that sliding this screen brings a smooth and smooth experience.

In this paper, by using the frame rate data measured by PerfDog mobile platform performance test software, we can more intuitively know how great the smooth experience of Find X2 screen is.

In order to get a more intuitive sense of how smooth the Find X2 120Hz ultra-high refresh rate screen is, I tested the frame rate (FPS) of 4 ColorOS software (desktops, settings, messages, music) and five third-party software (Wechat, Weibo, NetEase News, Mobile Taobao, NetEase Yun Music) when sliding through the PerfDog test software. Two standards are set for the test data, one is the very smooth standard FPS > = 90, and the other is the extremely smooth standard FPS > = 115. the initial FPS > = 90% is more than 90% that the UI interface refresh is smooth, and the FPS > = 115% is greater than 85% that the UI interface refresh is extremely smooth. For specific test data, please see the following.

Before starting the test, we set the screen refresh rate of Find X2 to 120Hz and the resolution to smart switch.

01 system setup interface

System settings interface for up and down sliding operation, the average number of frames is 112.2, FPS > = 90 accounted for 92.7%, FPS > = 115accounted for 90.2%. It can be seen from the data that the sliding operation of the system settings interface can reach the extremely smooth standard.

02 system desktop interface

The system desktop interface carries on the left and right sliding operation, the average frame number is 108.8, FPS > = 90 accounts for 91.9%, FPS > = 115 accounts for 89.2%. It can be seen from the data that the sliding operation of the system desktop interface can reach the extremely smooth standard.

03 information list interface

The information list interface slides up and down. The average number of frames is 110.0, with FPS > = 90 accounting for 91.9% and FPS > = 115 accounting for 83.8%. The sliding operation of the data visible information list interface can reach the standard of fluency.

04 music list interface

The music list interface slides up and down. The average number of frames is 107.3, with FPS > = 90 accounting for 95.0% and FPS > = 115 accounting for 27.5%. The sliding operation of the music list interface can reach the standard of fluency.

05 Wechat message list interface

Wechat message list interface for sliding up and down, the average number of frames is 111.2, FPS > = 90 accounted for 92.1%, FPS > = 115 accounted for 89.5%. It can be seen from the data that the sliding operation of Wechat message list interface can reach the extremely smooth standard.

06 browsing Weibo interface

Swiping Weibo interface for up and down sliding operation, the average number of frames is 109.8, FPS > = 90 accounts for 95.0%, FPS > = 115accounts for 22.5%. As you can see from the data, the sliding operation on Weibo interface can reach the standard of fluency.

07 NetEase news interface

NetEase news interface for up and down sliding operation, the average number of frames is 113.6, FPS > = 90 accounted for 95.7%, FPS > = 115accounted for 84.8%. It can be seen from the data that the sliding operation of NetEase news interface can reach the extremely smooth standard.

08 Taobao home page setting interface

Taobao home page interface for up and down sliding operation, the average number of frames is 106.0, FPS > = 90 accounted for 95.3%, FPS > = 115 accounted for 9.3%. The data show that the sliding operation of Taobao home interface can reach the standard of fluency.

09 net Yiyun music interface

NetEase cloud music interface for up and down sliding operation, the average number of frames is 106.1, FPS > = 90 accounted for 90.0%, FPS > = 115accounted for 72.5%. It can be seen from the data that the sliding operation of NetEase cloud music interface can reach the standard of fluency.

Conclusion

According to the PerfDog test data, this 120Hz ultra-high refresh rate screen of OPPO Find X2 does bring a great smooth sliding experience on the mobile screen, regardless of the UI interface of system applications and third-party applications can be smoothly refreshed, scanned and operated on this 120Hz screen. But we can also see that there is room for further optimization in the full frame refresh of 120Hz in the UI refresh rate of the system application. If any interface of the system, such as super-long SMS list, super-long song list, setting the first-level menu to enter the second-level menu, can achieve the 120Hz refresh rate experience, then the smoothness of the mobile phone system will enter another height, of course, this may require more outstanding software and hardware support. Such as faster memory, more powerful processors, AI enhancements and so on. In third-party applications, it is not difficult to see that in the interface of long picture stream and video stream, the refresh rate of the screen is very difficult to reach 120Hz, which may be related to the speed of the mobile phone network. If the photo stream and video stream cannot be loaded out very quickly when the screen is sliding, then the refresh rate of the screen must be affected. Thinking that the 5G network will be popular in the future, it is necessary for your mobile phone screen to support high refresh rate. At that time, the high refresh rate on the screen plus 5G Internet speed will certainly bring a smoother experience in the interfaces such as browsing Weibo, short videos and news.
