When the global Internet has reached its maturity today, what can inspire the imagination of the Internet to enter the next stage? The book "Enabling" gives thought to_"Cross-border + Enabling."

Cross-border, it seems to me that there is a bit of innate fate, from several seemingly unrelated industries along the way, but in each occupation grateful for the accumulation of unrelated industries brought value and benefits. Ten years ago, I joined Tencent because of my curiosity, and since then I have stepped into an unknown but future-filled industry and become an Internet person. Today, I am an Internet "veteran" who has been in the Internet industry for ten years and has experienced the most prosperous development stage of this industry. I want to show you through this book that change brings opportunities, and how to grasp the core of change more skillfully, so as to better grasp the dividends of change.

The Internet is a magical and full of opportunities and challenges. It not only gives more ordinary people equal opportunities to compete, but also makes more seemingly natural rules undergo earth-shaking changes, integrating many seemingly unrelated industries together. Although the Internet has only been in commercial use for more than 20 years, it has affected people's way of thinking with unprecedented power, both in work and life, and in the management and management of enterprises. Finally, it has caused more incredible changes in human society at all levels.

During this process, I once attended a special sharing class by Mr. SUEN Zhenyao. He mentioned the three "forces" of professionals, which gave me deep feelings.

Ability = Talent + Skill + Experience

Competitiveness = Ability × Belief

Sustainability = Values + Motivators

Belief is a person's inherent view and thinking of things accumulated from birth to now, and "practice" psychological attitude and mental state.

Now, let's start with the context of the changes caused by the Internet, and the whole picture becomes clearer.

In its first decade, the internet brought a whirlwind of change.

It has realized the information revolution, by changing the way people obtain information, so that the society has produced a lot of new ways of information connection, and realized the transformation and replacement of traditional media.

In the second decade, the Internet brought people a gentle change.

It gradually transformed into traditional industries and became their tools to serve traditional industries, starting from changing business consumption habits, and from this to various fields related to business, so that traditional industries underwent spring and rain changes.

If the keyword of the Internet in the past 20 years is "connection + transformation," I think the keyword of the Internet in the next 20 years will be "cross-border + empowerment."

If the Internet has changed the way people work and live more in form and media before, then in the future, it will bring profound changes in people's concepts.

The Internet is no longer a tool for people, but an enabler. Because it is the Internet that makes many old boundaries blurred or even disappeared, barriers no longer exist, technology can be easily used by all, so crossing borders becomes easy, and compared with those who have not participated in the Internet revolution, the new capabilities brought by the Internet will give Internet people powerful empowerment.

Boundaries disappear gradually. The changes of this period may not be obvious, but the changes brought about are huge and profound.

The cross-border process is something that everyone must participate in. In the next stage, the Internet, like the indispensable "water and electricity," connects all walks of life and becomes the force to rebuild these industries. Without the "empowerment" of the Internet, we will not have the core capability of innovation and will lose opportunities in industry reengineering.

How to cross the border? How to empower? From theory to practice, I will share with you my practical experience and career cross-border transformation in Tencent over the past ten years. The process of sharing itself is also an important change brought to us by Internet thinking.

If someone told me ten years ago that I would do cloud computing ten years later, and preach big data and cloud security to customers every day, I would be frightened myself. Now I think back, this is really the "empowerment" given to me by the Internet. Let me switch from a QQ show product that touches a little bit of fashion to an Internet product that can now think with the Internet and run through to an Internet product that looks very different. Summarizing this point, I found that my experience is actually the added value of the impact of the Internet. The Internet has been born for 20 years, and great changes have taken place in the products and businesses of many companies. What impressed me particularly when I was preaching on campus is that the college students we are facing now are full of vitality and armed with a lot of knowledge. It can be said that from the beginning of their careers, they can choose careers and lives with a wide range of freedom, because they have been "empowered" by the Internet since they received education. Generation!

So, if you attribute all this to the changes that the Internet has spawned, then you can join me in thinking about what systemic changes the Internet will bring about in the next two decades, from the development and evolution of Internet connectivity, cross-border, enabling capabilities, and then find solutions, and then think about what we should do to adapt and change the future!
