Remount the root directory to read-write mode mount-o remount,rw / sysroot

Switch to the real root chroot / sysroot of the system

Change password passwd root

SELinux tags all files and must have .autorelabel files. Touch /. Autorelabel

Exit edit mode (enter exit twice) and the system will automatically restart exit twice
