Skype for business Hybrid deployment Series II Custom Topology Information

This time, there are 3 front-end servers, 2 back-end databases are in always on mode, and 2 SQL Server servers have been installed. There is no documentation here. This chapter will write about the topology architecture design of front-end servers, and the next chapter will write about the back-end always on configuration process of skype for business topology design.

Log in to one of the skype for business front-end servers and run the command to add the necessary components

two。 Open the skype for business installation media and install

3. After the installation is complete, open the skype for business deployment wizard and select prepare active directory

4. Complete steps 1 through 5 in order to complete the active directory schema extension

5. After the extension is completed, you will see some additional security groups in users OU. Add Lyncadmin (installation and deployment account) to the CSAdministrator group.

6. To customize the topology information, from the skype for business-deployment Wizard page, click install Management tools

7. After installing the administrative tools, start Topology Builder: click start, click all programs, click Skype for business2015, and then click skype for business Server Topology Builder. ! 8. After opening Topology Builder, the dialog box of Topology Builder pops up. For the first time, you need to create a new topology. Click New Topology.

9. Custom primary domain. The domain entered here is conotso.com. There is no need to enter the DNS name of the internal AD domain of contoso.local, because all my users' suffix @ is followed by contoso.com, so the primary domain only fill in contoso.com.

13. In the pop-up successfully defined new topology, check this wizard to open the New Front end Wizard when closed.

14. Click next to customize the new front-end pool in the pop-up window

15. Enter the FQDN of the front-end server pool, and click next

16. Enter the full FQDN names of the 3 front-end servers

17. Select the corresponding feature and click next

18. Select juxtaposed intermediary server

19. The edge pool to be used by the media components of the front-end pool is not enabled here (later, the deployment edge server will be enabled)

20. Customize the SQL Server server (always on is highly available here), and select New

21. Enter the FQDN of the server of the SQL database

twenty-two。 Click next after confirming the SQL server information

23. The creation of skype for business requires the support of a shared folder, which is used to store temporary meeting information in SFB meetings. The file sharing server supports a single server, which can be used in DFS mode. Here, a single server is stored in the first server of SQL, and the sharing permission is set to Lyncadmin full control.

24. Customize the URL of the web services of the skype for business server. The default is the same as the front-end pool.

25. Do not associate the office web apps pool, click OK to finish (later in deployment)

twenty-six。 Right-click skype for business Server to select Edit Properties

twenty-seven。 Select the central site, select the properties, enter the management URL and the central management server location

twenty-eight。 Publish the topology after completion

After the release, click the to-do list and we will see the relevant information to be done in the next step. In the next step, we need to configure the always on of the backend database.
