Shulou(Shulou.com)06/02 Report--

Independent redundant disk array, namely RAID, refers to the combination of several independent disks into a disk group with huge capacity, which uses the addition effect produced by individual disks to provide data to improve the performance of the whole disk system.

RAID uses multiple hard disk devices to form a disk array with larger capacity and better security, and then cuts the data into multiple sections and stores them on different physical hard disk devices, then uses decentralized read and write technology to improve the overall performance of the disk array, and synchronizes multiple copies of important data to different physical hard disk devices, thus playing a good role of data redundancy backup.

RAID 0

By forming a large group in series, and writing the data to each physical hard disk, the read and write performance of the hard disk device will be improved several times in the ideal state. however, the failure of any hard disk will lead to the destruction of the whole Xue Tong data, and do not have the ability of backup and error repair.

RAID1

It binds more than two hard disk devices, and when writing data, how fast the data is written to the hard disk device at the same time. When one of the hard disks fails, it will automatically restore the composition and use of the data in the way of hot exchange.

RAID5

As shown in the figure, RAID5 saves the data parity information of the hard disk device to other hard disks. The advantage is that there will be no fatal damage after any database damage, that is to say, RAID5 does not have a backup mechanism. When something goes wrong, try to reconstruct the damaged data through the parity information.

RAID10

As shown in the figure, RAID10 is actually a combination of RAID1 and RAID0, which requires at least four hard drives to assemble. First, make a RAID1 disk array to ensure the security of the data, and then try RAID0 technology to improve the reading and writing speed for the two RAID. In theory, this scheme is more mature and the most widely used.
