In Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows Server Backup features only incremental and full backups

By default, Windows Server Backup is not enabled and needs to be added manually.

Open Server Management> Click Features> Right click "Add Features"

Select the feature you want to add, Next

Then click "Install"

Installing...

Prompt has been installed successfully, click "complete"

After installation, go to Start Menu> All Programs> Administrative Tools>Windows Server Backup

After opening, the interface is as shown in the figure below. You can define backup plan, one-time backup, restore backup...

Select Backup Schedule here

After clicking on "Backup Schedule," the Backup Wizard appears…Next.

Recommended choice: custom, the entire server backup is equivalent to backup the entire C disk, clone the system! Next step.

Select the partition that needs to be backed up, next step.

Select the number of backups and the time period, next step.

Select backup to destination disk, i.e. select storage location, next step.

Click Next to prompt whether to format the selected disk, select as needed, Next.

Default, next step.

Done.

The disk format status is performed.

Backup schedule created completed.

The message box indicates that the backup has succeeded!

Test file recovery, delete files in inetpub directory, leaving temp and logs

Open Windows Server Backup in Windows Server 2008 R2 and select Restore Backup.

Select the server you want to recover, select another server that can be recovered remotely (i.e. recover data from remote server to local), next step.

Select the date and time to recover the file, next.

Select the content to recover: files and folders, partitions/volumes, next.

Make the directory for recovery: c:\inetpub, next step.

Select recovery target, security settings, etc. as needed, next step.

Prompt to confirm the file directory that needs to be restored, restore.

Resuming initialization.

The notification has been restored! But there's an error message.

Check the error message!

Go back to the c:\inetpub directory, the file recovery is complete!
