Operating system: RedHat 6.4

Database version: Oracle 11.2.0.2.0

When creating a database using DBCA, it was found that the ASM disk group could not be found:

Error troubleshooting:

1. Execute:

/ usr/sbin/oracleasm listdisks

Looking at the execution result, listdisk can display the disk group normally.

2. Switch to grid user, check whether the ASM instance is started, and execute the query

Select group_number,path,mount_status,state from v$asm_disk

Id oracle and id grid

Check to see if oracle users are in the admdba group

4. Permission to view the $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle file of oracle and grid users

$ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle the default permission of this file is 6751 permissions, and there is an s permission. If the s permission disappears, you will not be able to log in to the database through OS authentication.

After examining the problems one by one, we finally found out where the problem lies:

Execute chmod + s oracle to solve the problem

Summary:

The problem that the ASM disk cannot be found in the DBCA library is:

1. Incorrect permission setting for oracle user.

2. ASM instance was not started or diskgroups are not mounted.

3. The diskgroup resources are not online.

4. The permission setting for the asm devices are incorrect.

5. The oracle executable under / bin has incorrect permission settings.

6. The file system for grid home was mounted with option 'nosuid'.
