First of all, how to check your computer CPU?

Right-click to start Explorer in the space below the computer, and select Performance, as shown in the figure:

Cores represents the number of cores, Logical processors represents logical threads, as shown in the figure, the computer CPU has four cores and eight threads. So how to understand four cores and eight threads?

A CPU can handle only one thread (operating system: thread) per unit of time, which makes it impossible to process more than one thread in a unit of time unless it is an entity unit with two CPU. Multi-core technology is to put multiple identical CPU in one package (or directly make two CPU into one chip), while Intel's HT technology is to copy only the necessary resources inside the CPU and let CPU be simulated into two threads; that is, an entity core, two logic threads, handling the work of two threads in a unit of time, simulating entity dual-core, dual-thread operation.

Extend the above principles:

Four cores means that the CPU has four "CPU", while eight threads means that each CPU has two logical threads, a total of eight threads.
