Apple today released iOS 14.8, marking the eighth major update to the iOS operating system that was released in September 2020. IOS 14.8 was released two months after the release of iOS 14.7, which introduced MagSafe battery pack support.

All eligible devices can be downloaded from Settings > General > Software updates. Apple also released a new version of iPadOS 14.

According to the Apple release notes, iOS 14.8 is a security-centric update, recommended for all users to install, and updates are dominated by two fixes.

A CoreGraphics error could allow maliciously crafted PDF to execute in arbitrary code, and a WebKit vulnerability could allow maliciously crafted Web content to execute code.
