VMware Workstation

(Chinese name "Weirui Workstation") is a powerful desktop virtual computer software that provides users with the ability to run different operating systems on a single desktop at the same time, and the best solution for developing, testing, and deploying new applications. VMware Workstation can simulate a complete network environment on a physical machine, as well as a portable virtual machine, which has better flexibility and advanced technology than other virtual computer software on the market. For IT developers and system administrators in enterprises, VMware has become an indispensable tool for virtual networks, real-time snapshots, dragging shared folders, supporting PXE and so on.

Introduction: 1, install the Win10 Enterprise Edition installation in VMware Workstation Pro; 2, after the installation is completed, interconnect the virtual machine and the host.

First, open VMware Workstation Pro, click create a new virtual machine on the main page, and enter the following interface, as shown in the figure, and select Custom:

Enter the hardware compatibility interface and select the latest Workstation 14.x (Note: only 14.x supports Win10), as shown in the figure:

Select the installation method and choose to use the CD-ROM image for installation, as shown in the figure:

Click next to enter the key stage and skip it directly (activation can be performed after the installation is complete). Start selecting installation location

After the selection, start selecting the firmware type, as shown in the figure:

Next, make the relevant configuration according to the individual needs and the relevant configuration of the host (the configuration of the virtual machine must not be higher than that of the host, otherwise the creation will fail), as shown in figure: processor configuration

Select the type of network to use, next

Select the default settings for the following steps, as shown in the figure:

Specify the disk capacity according to the configuration of the host (as shown in the memory selection) as shown in the figure:

Select custom hardware to remove unnecessary hardware (virtual sound card, printer)

This is the whole process of installing a Win10 virtual machine in VMware Workstation Pro. The next step is to interconnect the virtual machine with the host:

Open the win10 virtual machine that has been created

As shown in the following figure, right-click to select settings

Select the network adapter and select host-only mode, as shown in the figure

Enter cmd in the taskbar to bring up the command prompt, as shown in the figure

Enter ipconfig (query native ip address)

Open the settings from the start menu bar, enter the network and INTERNET, click *, and find the Windows firewall, as shown in the figure:

Click "enable or close Windows Firewall" to turn off the firewall (if you do not turn off the firewall, you cannot interconnect the two).

Open the host, enter the network and INTERNET, and select the change adapter option in the status bar

Select VMnet1 (the network card is the network card that connects the virtual machine with the host), right-click on it, and select Properties.

Choose to use the specified ip address (it must be the same network segment as the virtual machine ip address). Here I enter the ip address as 192.168.158.56

When the input is complete, open the cmd instruction and enter "ping 192.168.158.200"

The ping is connected successfully, and the virtual machine is connected to the host successfully.
