Background introduction

Customers are currently using Exchange Server 2013. The data disk is mounted in storage and NBU is used in mail backup. The storage server is down due to a leak in the server room. Resulting in the loss of most of the data.

The Exchange recovery process uses the new storage to repartition the disks and uses NBU to restore the databases one by one, following the original path. Check the server where the restored database resides (take database L14DB3 as an example)

Get-MailboxDatabase L14DB2 | Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus

3. Check the database and log path

Get-MailboxDatabase L14DB3 | fl Name,edb,Log

4. Check to see if there are any missing logs

Go to the HQEXMB01 server and run the command prompt as the administrator to go to the database directory

Enter Eseutil / mh L14db3.edb

Check the status of the data and see if there are any missing logs:

As shown in the figure: the Log Required entry shows a log missing.

5. Repair missing Log files

Eseutil / r E0C / L G:\ Mailboxlog\ L14DB3

Check again, the status is as follows:

6. Check for redundant Log files

7. Delete the DAG copy of this database

Remove-MailboxDatabaseCopy-Identity L14DB3\ HQEXMB01-Confirm:$False

8. Load the database

Mount-database L14DB3-Force

Check whether the database has been loaded

9. Other circumstances

If the log is not lost, perform the following steps to restore:

Eseutil / mh O:\ Mailbox\ Line04C006\ line04c006.edb (PS: check the missing status of the database log and find that it is not lost) eseutil / p O:\ Mailbox\ Line04C006\ line04c006.edb (PS: use the command to force the repair of the database) mount-database database name-the database user who is forced to repair by Force may not be able to send and receive email normally. The error is as follows:

Solution: move this mailbox to another database
