1. FTP is a file transfer protocol, which is mainly used to realize the file transfer function between the client and the server.

2. How is the FTP server built?

a. Here, we build the server on server2016. The specific steps are as follows:

Open server manager → to add roles and features → web server (IIS) → role service (FTP server) → installation

At this point, our FTP server is installed.

There are two ways to realize the function of B and FTP.

1. Ip address (in this way, only one FTP server can be built for an ip address) the specific steps are as follows:

Windows management tools → IIS Manager → website right → add FTP site → site name (test-a), physical path (c disk new folder test-a determine) next step → binding and ssl settings (ip address, no ssl) next step → authentication and authorization information (basic, specified user jack, read and write) → completed

The step is only halfway through this user, because we specify the user jack and the file content we want to share without related operations, so we cannot get the relevant content on the FTP server on the client side as follows: specify user: computer management → local user and group (user right add new user) → input username and password → creation

In addition, we also have a very critical step is to set permissions: test-a → editing rights → security → add jack account → full control of the → application

Now that we have set up the basic OK, we will verify it in three ways

Access through client-side cmd commands

Windows+R call up the running window → enter cmd → ftp 192.168.100.5 → enter password → login successful → ls view file

2. Access through the client file explorer

File Explorer → input ftp://192.168.100.5 search → appears login screen enter user name and password → appears a.txt file can (download / upload)

3. It can also be accessed through the tool filezilla software.

Enter the host, user name and password to come out directly.

A.txt files can do the same thing. There is another way that is very difficult to get, which is to log in to the ftp site with a browser. If you are interested, you can try it.
