At work, there are many client tools for connecting to oracle databases, such as navicat, toad, Oracle SQL Developer, plsql developer, etc. Here's how to connect to a database using plsql developer install-free oracle client.

First download plsql developer 64-bit installation; note, please download plsql developer from the official website to avoid downloading insecure clients that cause database extortion events; if you use cracked versions of plsql developer, please check the contents of the Afterconnect.sql and login.sql files in the installation directory. By default, the installation size of these two files is less than 1KB.

Installation of plsql developer is not explained here.

Then download oracle instantclient from oracle official website 11.2.0.4; the downloaded Oracle instantclient version number should be consistent with the Oracle server version number;

After downloading, extract it and put it in a directory, such as D:\instantclient_11_2, and create two new directories, D:\instantclient_11_2\network\admin, and then create a new tnsname.ora

Open plsql devoloper, the username and password will pop up, click Cancel, click Tools--Preferences--Connect, add screenshot content

Close plsql developer and reopen the login database
