This article is about what the three working states of transistors are. The editor thinks it is very practical, so share it with you as a reference and follow the editor to have a look.
The three working states of the transistor are: 1. In the cut-off state, when the voltage added to the transistor emitter junction is less than the turn-on voltage of the PN junction, the state between the collector and the emitter is equivalent to the switch off state. 2, amplification state, when the voltage added to the transistor emitter junction is greater than the turn-on voltage of the PN junction, and when the base current increases to a certain extent; 3, saturated conduction state.
Transistor (transistor) is a kind of solid semiconductor devices (including diodes, transistors, field effect transistors, thyristors, sometimes bipolar devices), which has many functions such as detection, rectifier, amplification, switching, voltage regulation, signal modulation and so on. As a kind of variable current switch, transistor can control output current based on input voltage. Different from ordinary mechanical switches (such as Relay, switch), transistors use electrical signals to control their own opening and closing, so the switching speed can be very fast, and the switching speed in the laboratory can reach more than 100GHz.
The three working states of the transistor:
Cut-off state: when the voltage added to the transistor emitter junction is less than the turn-on voltage of the PN junction, the base current is zero, the collector current and emitter current are both zero, the transistor loses the current amplification effect, and the state between the collector and the emitter is equivalent to the switching off state, we call the transistor in the cut-off state.
Amplification state: when the voltage added to the transistor emitter junction is greater than the turn-on voltage of the PN junction and is at a certain value, the emitter junction of the transistor is positively biased and the collector junction is inversely biased, then the base current controls the collector current, so that the transistor has the function of current amplification, and its current amplification multiple is β = Δ Ic/ Δ Ib.
Saturated conduction state: when the voltage added to the transistor emitter junction is greater than the conduction voltage of the PN junction, and when the base current increases to a certain extent, the collector current no longer increases with the increase of the base current, but does not change much near a certain value, then the transistor loses its current amplification, and the voltage between the collector and the emitter is very small, and the conduction state between the collector and the emitter is equivalent to the switch. This state of the transistor is called the saturated conduction state.
According to the potential of each electrode when the transistor is working, the working state of the transistor can be distinguished. Therefore, in the process of maintenance, the electronic maintenance personnel often take the multi-purpose ammeter to measure the voltage of each foot of the transistor, so as to distinguish the working condition and working state of the transistor.
