I. Link load requirements

According to the domestic network situation, if the intranet users access the services on China Unicom and distribute them only based on routing equivalence, there will certainly be exports for mobile distribution, which will inevitably lead to a decline in access quality. At this time, it is also necessary to ensure access to Unicom network to Unicom exit link distribution through load equipment, and to access mobile network to mobile exit link distribution.

The basic principle of link load

1, for the first requirement, the principle is simple, as long as it is not distributed to two exits according to the poll. We know that routes can be divided into "priority", priority is equally shared at the same time, and routes are not shared according to high priority at the same time. Therefore, it is impossible to achieve the effect of uneven distribution through general routing equipment. Therefore, the concept of "weight" is introduced into load devices. The load devices can be shared according to the link bandwidth ratio. For example, if the proportion of Nanchang export and Guangzhou export is 1:2, the load equipment will calculate the exit bandwidth to ensure that the export bandwidth is distributed at 1:2. Similarly, the proportion of bandwidth utilization can also be calculated to calculate the scheduling.

2, the principle of the second requirement is simpler. We know that their network segments are fixed for mobile, China Unicom, telecom and education networks. As long as this address table entry is recorded by the load device, when the internal network user accesses the external network, it will be distributed to which operator the destination IP is.

Summary: knowing the principle of link load distribution, all that is left is layer 2 or 3 forwarding, which is distributed by routing or specifying the next hop. Of course, this is only the simplest distribution principle. When designing the load, many aspects will be considered, such as bandwidth statistics, link state detection, session persistence and so on.
