JavaScript

JavaScript ranks seventh in the latest TIOBE rankings, consistent with its ranking in December 2019. At the same time, since 2000, JavaScript has been in the top 10 on average every year.

Jack Mannino, CEO of nVisium, believes that JavaScript is a mess in real-world applications. In design, JavaScript encourages the use of anti-patterns such as global variables, and JavaScript's cast often confuses developers.

C++ is one of the most popular programming languages, ranking fourth in the latest TIOBE ranking. C++ has been in the top 10 every year since 1985, according to TIOBE, and C++ has remained in the top three from 1990 to 2015.

Hatch says C++ 's popularity has led to hatred from many areas. Specifically, Hatch describes C++ as an "object-oriented extension of the C language" with "endless functions". However, he also points out that as languages become more functional, they will also become more confusing.

Perl
