Set Name ID Attribute and Default Name ID Format to Email:

Log in to SAC as SAP Analytics Cloud Administrator and create a new User:

The email address maintained in this user record receives an email asking the user on the SAP Analytics Cloud to be activated:

Once the log in button is clicked, it is automatically redirected to the login page of IDP tenant:

After entering the user name and password, log in to the SAP Analytics Cloud system:

Go back to IDP tenant, find the newly created user record, and maintain Login Name:USSALESOPS

Log in to Cloud and find Configure singl sign-on under Administrator-Common tasks:

Click My System- > SP Metadata to download C4C service provider Metadata:

Click New Identity Provider:

Upload IDP tenant Metadata to C4C and activate it.

Locate the C4C user USSALESOPS and maintain its email address to the same email address as the new SAP Analytics Cloud user:

Go back to IDP tenant, create a new application and name it C4CDEMO:

Enter the IDP tenant SAML 2.0 configuration and upload the C4C SAML Metadata to the C4CDEMO application:

This is more important:

Make sure you set the Name ID Attribute to Login Name and the Default Name ID format to Unspecified. This will ensure the C4CDEMO users and the IDPTENANT users are mapped via their assigned Login Name attribute.

In the Name ID attribute field, set it to Login Name, which allows IDP tenant and C4C to complete the user mapping using Login Name:

After the configuration is completed, log in to C4C, select IDP tenant for Authentication, and enter the email address maintained by the user: USSALESOPS:

Login succeeded.
