Late summer may be a good time to buy tech--if you're more interested in bargains for fall upgrades, you can get discounts on contemporary hardware. This must be real. We found particularly sweet deals on Apple Watch Series 4, Razer gear, and August Smart Lock that might be appealing, especially if the near-newest products are good enough for your needs.

Apple Watch Series 4

Yes, Series 5 will probably debut in mid-September. But if you don't need the latest smartwatch, the Apple Watch Series 4 sold on Amazon costs $70 more than normal. You'll get the largest black 44mm stainless steel model and Milan Beltway (from $849 to $779), but almost everything available through online stores will come at a reduced price.

Razer Special Sale

If you're playing games on the go, now's a great opportunity to upgrade your gaming device, including your laptop. Woot is selling a variety of Razer devices and accessories, from Nabu X activity trackers (ranging from $20 to $10) to mice, keyboards and headphones. The highlight, though, is undoubtedly discounts on the base Razer Blade 15, which range from $1600 to $1250. Between the 2.2GHz quad-core i7 and the GTX 1060 Max-Q graphics card, you don't get the absolute latest hardware, but for light gaming or serious multitasking, it still doesn't let up in the slightest.

Baiyue Smart Lock

Smart locks are no longer expensive luxuries in the past. In August, the price of the third-generation smart lock dropped from an initial $150 to nearly half Amazon's, to $77. If you want to lock doors remotely and integrate with Alexa, you'll need a Connect Wi-Fi bridge, but if you want a smart entryway, this is still a solid deal.
