Here is a description of the errors and problem solutions I encountered during installation:

Question 1 Premission denied

Because the mysql80 installation file is Copy from other Server, it is not downloaded and decompressed on the official website, so I reported an error when initializing MySQL and starting MySQL service, indicating that the permissions are not enough.

Initialization error:

Start the service with an error:

Solution:

For the first error, execute the following code:

Chmod-R 755 / data/mysql80/bin/

For the second error, execute the following code:

Chmod-R 755. / mysql.server

(this file is / data/mysql80/support-files)

And

Chmod-R 755 / etc/init.d/mysqld

Question 2 ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'password (' XXXXX')'at line 1

When logging in to MySQL and changing the root password, use the method SET PASSWORD=PASSWORD ('[new password]') to report an error.

The password authentication plug-in for previous versions of MySQL was "mysql_native_password", but now it uses "caching_sha2_password".

Solution:

ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY' New password; FLUSH PRIVILEGES

Question 3 enable remote login error, You are not allowed to create a user with GRANT

When remote login is enabled, the error message is as follows:

Solution:

By command

Select host,user,authentication_string,plugin from user

Check that the host field value is really limited to localhost

Then directly through the command

Update user set host = "%" where user='root'

Modify it directly.

Verify that you can connect remotely.
