Description

Only instances with a status of running (Running) can do this.

After successfully calling the API, the instance enters a Stopping state. After successfully stopping the shutdown, the instance enters the stopped (Stopped) state.

Support for forced stop, which is equivalent to power-off processing, and may lose data in the instance operating system that is not written to disk.

The instance cannot be stopped when the lock status of "LockReason": "security" is marked in the OperationLocks of the security controlled instance.

For I1 specification family instances with local disk storage (Local_storage) configured, the input parameter ConfirmStop is required. The API call will be successful only if the value is True, otherwise an error code will be returned.

For the instance of I1 specification family, after the API is successfully called, the data stored on the local disk will be emptied, and data availability needs to be ensured through data redundancy in the application layer.

The system automatically ignores ConfirmStop input parameters for other specification family instances.

After you activate the free feature for instance downtime in the default VPC, you can set StoppedMode=KeepCharging to keep the charge for downtime. After the ECS instance stops, the charge will continue, and the inventory of ECS instance specifications and the public network IP address will be retained for you.
